Massachusetts Marijuana Legalization Hearings Today at State House

Today, April 24th, a key committee hearing will be held on Beacon Hill.

Public testimony on the bill, House Bill 1632, the Cannabis Regulation and Taxation Act, introduced by Ellen Story, will be heard by the Joint Committee on the Judiciary on Thursday, April 24 at 1:30 pm.

Following the trends of decriminalization and in the wake of the success of states like Colorado and Washington, and strong voter support thus far on the matter, it looks hopeful that the Bay State could be privy to marijuana legalization by 2016. Hopefully it can help promote the growth of dispensaries if legalized, and if so, patients and recreational users alike would have far easier access to marijuana than before.

As a patient, how do you feel about the legalization movement?
